Has Seedream 5.5 been released?
Not officially, as of 24 October 2026. ByteDance Seed and BytePlus have not announced the model or published a release date for it. The newest confirmed version is Seedream 5.0 Pro, shown at Volcano Engine’s FORCE conference on 23 June 2026. We will update this page when an official announcement appears.
